    I got a recipe from a homebrew store a number of years ago based on a sample they offered me, a Belgian Abbey Ale they called it. For 5 gallons, it’s 7.5 lb pilsner malt, 1.5 lb wheat malt, Czech Saaz/13.5 IBU at 60 and 3.5 IBU at 15. I was using Wyeast 1762 for this beer, and fermenting at 74 degrees. Thought this would be nice way to see what this BB yeast would do as an alternative. Fermented at 74 like I was doing in previous batches with the other yeast. It turned out great! Quite a bit of banana in the nose, but none really in the taste. Pleasant Belgian character going otherwise. I’d use this yeast again. Beer started at 1.047 on 5/25 and finished at 1.006 on 6/4.
