Cider, Wine, Mead, Kombucha & Hard-Seltzer produced in a brewery has a high potential for contamination by gluten from shared tanks, hoses and fittings. Any non-beer fermentations pitched with yeast propagated in a gluten-rich media like barley may cause your product to exceed FDA requirements.
Gluten Testing – One Business Day Turn Around Time
The FDA requires products labeled as “Gluten-Free” to contain less than 20 ppm (parts per million) of gluten. Our ELISA-based gluten assay can detect gluten to as low as 10 ppm.
What We Need
- Packaged Product: At least one bottle or can per unique sample being tested.
- FV or Brite Product: At least one 50ml sample. Must be shipped overnight with cold pack in sterile/sanitized liquid-tight container.
- Please notify us if any enzymatic clarifying agents have been used in your product.
Once your order has been placed, you will receive an email with instructions for sending in your sample(s).
Please order one test per unique product sample. Results are provided as pass/fail and do not show Gluten ppm.
